Registered Psychotherapist in Muskoka – Shannon Corbeil
I provide compassionate, warm, and emotionally supportive counselling and psychotherapy for teens, young adults, and adults in Muskoka, including Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Huntsville, and surrounding areas. I support clients navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, self-esteem concerns, loneliness, life transitions, mental health disorders, and relationship issues.
My approach is supportive and practical, helping clients feel heard, seen, and validated while building resilience, confidence, and coping skills. Together, we work toward meaningful change so you can feel more grounded, capable, and aligned with the life you want.
In my practice, I draw from a range of evidence-based and holistic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based practices, trauma-informed care, existential therapy, and Compassionate Inquiry. I also provide safe, affirming care for culturally diverse and LGBTQ+ individuals, ensuring therapy is inclusive, respectful, and empowering for all clients.
With teens and young adults, I focus on supporting self-esteem, emotional regulation, academic and social stress, peer and family relationships, and identity development. I provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space where they can explore challenges, build confidence, and strengthen coping skills as they navigate this important stage of life.

Adolescence is a time of tremendous growth and challenge. From balancing schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and friendships to navigating peer pressure, resisting substance use, and processing complex emotions, relationships, or news, it’s no surprise that teens sometimes feel overwhelmed.
Teens may not always voice their struggles, but they often hope their parents will notice and take action. Recognizing and addressing mental health concerns early helps teens feel seen, supported, and understood. This builds trust, opens the door to meaningful conversations, and fosters lasting emotional well-being as they navigate the challenges of growing up.
